The Barrington Area United Way is your hometown United Way. Local volunteers raising money from local residents and businesses to support local agencies and programs and our community.

The BAUW follows a structured process to address problems that affect our community as a whole:

Utilize Surveys to Prioritize the Problems Facing Our Community
Raise Funds Through Local Campaigns
Review & Evaluate the Effectiveness and Efficiency of Local Non-Profit Agencies and Programs
Allocate Funds to Programs Making the Largest Impact on Resolving Social Problems Within Our Community.

BAUW Has Been Supporting the Barrington Area for 50 Years. Barrington Residents Have Been Supporting the BAUW for 50 Years. It was a cool event for Barrington and for the Barrington Area United Way. Everyone, from pre-schoolers to seniors enjoyed these beautiful works of art all summer long. It has been an exciting and fun-filled adventure for everyone involved, from the initial unveiling back in June, to the 4th of July Parade, to the bratt tent, to the BAUW Round Up where the horses were auctioned to the highest bidder. The BAUW Round Up On October 17th, the Barrington Area United Way held the most exciting auction event in recent history at the Barns of Good Shepherd Hospital. Over twenty of these beautiful horses were auctioned to an excited crowd, each bidding in hopes of obtaining their favorite horse. On this exciting evening in October, over $100,000 was raised to benefit the Barrington Area United Way. One Last Thank You Although the Barrington Area Untied Way managed the Barrington Round Up, we want to thank everyone who participated.
